The article does not indicate how long ago the child’s death occurred. With this in mind, I will express my feelings. My father and father-in-law were both pastors.
Question, when did this girlfriend come into the picture? A person who may be involved in a murder is not required to be there. There are several ways just thinking about this death.
From just reading the media data it appears to me that the husband was more concerned with what he was afraid of losing than losing his wife. I lost my wife two years ago and did not know how a husband could stand in front of “His” congregation and make statements as he did just after his wife’s death. Providing that he may have spent the night with the “girlfriend”, he may have committed a “sin” which would keep him out of heaven. If so why was he standing in the front of the church and preaching about how good-looking he was? I would think it behooves the correct parties to investigate this more than just deciding it was suicide.
