Former central banker Mark Carney’s selection as Canada’s new Prime Minister signals a Globalist agenda ready to clash with President Trump’s America First policies. The ex-Bank of England governor has already threatened retaliation over Trump’s tariffs, setting the stage for renewed tensions between the neighboring nations. He’s as Woke as Trudeau, but even gutsier.
At a glance:
• Mark Carney won the Liberal Party leadership with 85.9% of the vote and will replace Justin Trudeau as Prime Minister
• Carney has directly attacked Donald Trump’s tariffs on Canadian goods and threatened retaliatory measures
• The former central banker has never been elected to public office but has extensive connections to global financial institutions
• Conservative opponents accuse Carney of continuing Trudeau’s failed liberal policies despite positioning himself as an outsider
• Carney faces steep challenges with conservatives leading in polls and holding a 51% probability of winning a majority in the next election
Globalist Banker Takes Power
Canada’s Liberal Party has selected Mark Carney, a former Goldman Sachs executive and central banker, to replace Justin Trudeau as prime minister. He’s Woke, he’s experienced, and he’s going to fight like hell to keep taking advantage of the American people.
Carney secured an impressive 85.9% of the vote in a leadership contest where only 151,899 out of approximately 400,000 registered Liberal Party members bothered to participate.
Carney has not wasted time in attacking President Trump – as you’d expect – immediately making threats over tariff policies in his acceptance speech. His globalist credentials include heading both the Bank of Canada and the Bank of England, along with leading international climate finance initiatives pushing the Net Zero agenda.
Trump In His Crosshairs
In his first address as Liberal leader, Carney directly targeted President Trump over trade policies. “Donald Trump, as we know, has put unjustified tariffs on what we build, on what we sell and how we make a living,” Carney said, adding, “He’s attacking Canadian families, workers and businesses and we cannot let him succeed and we won’t.”
He knows that saying “unjustifiable” doesn’t mean they actually are unjustifiable, right?
The central banker turned politician threatened economic retaliation against the United States, declaring: “We didn’t ask for this fight. But Canadians are always ready when someone else drops the gloves,” Carney said. “The Americans, they should make no mistake, in trade, as in hockey, Canada will win.”
Conservative Backlash Brewing
Meanwhile, Conservative Party leader Pierre Poilievre has blasted Carney as simply continuing Trudeau’s failed liberal policies despite attempts to rebrand himself. Carney’s tenure may be short-lived as polls show the Conservative Party with a commanding lead and a 51% probability of winning a majority in the next election.
Critics point to Carney’s complete lack of electoral experience, having never won any public office before being installed as prime minister. His controversial stances during Brexit and the COVID-19 pandemic, along with his aggressive climate agenda, have made him a polarizing figure despite attempts to position himself as a moderate economic steward.
